    Ingredients

    • 3 golden apples
    • 30 g butter
    • 90 g caster sugar
    • 2 tbsp water
    • 0.5 shortcrust pastry

    Instructions

    1. Peel the apples, halve them and remove the seeds. Cut each apple half into four even wedges.
    2. In a frying pan, over a high heat, add the butter. When it starts to turn nutty, add the apple quarters and leave to colour for 5 minutes, turning them over.
    3. Pour in the sugar, mix quickly and leave to caramelise. Pour in the water to dissolve the mixture and obtain a smooth caramel.
    4. Place the coloured apple quarters evenly in a tart tin the size of your appliance. Pour the caramel over the apples.
    5. Cut the pastry into a disc shape, making sure it is slightly wider than the diameter of the tin. Place the pastry over the apples and fold the excess pastry towards the inside of the tin, inserting the edges between the apples and the tin. Use the tip of a knife to make six spaced incisions in the pastry.
    6. Place the tin in the appliance fitted with the plate. Start the cooking process.
    7. Leave the tart to cool for 15 minutes before removing from the mould.
    8. Enjoy.
